Rhenium purchase

Buss & Buss Spezialmetalle GmbH is your industrial partner for the purchase of rhenium and rhenium scrap.

Welcome to Buss & Buss Spezialmetalle GmbH. Your search for “rhenium purchase”, “purchase of rhenium” or “company purchasing rhenium” was successful. You have come to the right place, and we are pleased that you have found us.

Rhenium: rare and exemplary

Rhenium is one of the rare special metals and occurs exclusively in bound ores. It is a hard, white glossy heavy metal and has the highest melting point of all elements after tungsten, 3186 °C. Due to its properties, rhenium is extremely resilent and is most widely used as an additive to alloys such as nickel superalloys. Such superalloys are used in turbine blades for aircraft engines, which are exposed to very high temperatures, or in catalysts made of platinum-rhenium alloys, in thermocouples, or in incandescent cathodes.

The purchase of rhenium and the recycling of rhenium are necessary

Due to its rarity and excellent properties, it is necessary to recycle rhenium from scrap containing rhenium in order to return it to the production and value cycle. Our purchase of rhenium, zirconium, tantalum, niobium, germanium, or hafnium thus makes a fundamental contribution to the conservation of resources, which among other things protects mining areas and their flora and fauna. At the same time, our optimized thermal, chemical, and mechanical recycling processes reduce the CO2 balance, which is many times lower in rhenium recycling than in ore mining.
As our customers, you also benefit from rhenium purchasing, as well as the recycling and trading of other special and specialty metals. All our recycled metals are in 99.9% pure form and can be directly processed. This allows you to remain independent and competitive in the global economy.

Are you interested in our recycling processes or the purchase of rhenium, and would you like to learn more? Please feel free to send us a direct and non-binding inquiry via the contact form or use the direct conversation on a phone call. We are looking forward to it.
